What physical changes (if any) do you apply to your warlock as you gain levels?
My current character is a rogue called Jym who, on his last level up, took a secret level in warlock (great old one patron.) From now on his remaining levels will be warlock, and I'm going to apply physical changes to him as he grows, eg:
Skin changes to chalk white. Loses his hair. Eyes fill with green-black liquid like ink. Veins in extremities and around eyes & across the scalp expand, and begin writhing beneath the skin. Palms open, two new eyes appear there. Grows extra eyes in addition to the natural two.
Some of the changes come from invocations, others just cos I want to try and unsettle the other characters in the group.
I would just say to use your creativity and work with your DM. I haven't and don't plan to do that with my warlock, but if your character is slowly becoming a servant to your patron (vs just striking a deal) it could work out nicely thematically.
How many levels do you plan on taking? If only a few, his physical appearance could change with time or deeds to his patron instead of strict levels.
Super creepy! Sounds like you are talking about warlock binding marks. Xanathar guide to everything contains a d6 list of marks that serve as physical signs of the warlock's pacts. These include vestigial tails and a glowing nose (very lame, indeed).
This reddit thread has some cool random homebrew tables for each warlock pact:
So while you are doing physical changes, my warlock is changing on an intrinsic level, her personality is becoming darker, she is becoming obsessed with the gifts of power from her patron (the fiend) as i have the fiend kind of torture her, i love the RP factor
I included a spine tattoo on my warlock that grows as her power does, specifically with the acquisition of new Invocations. I based if off the image below.
Pretty much it starts at the top like the picture and it winds down the spine as it grows, the big crescents that appear contain a symbol (glyph/sigil/something in sylvan, unsure on specifics atm) that represent the invocation itself. And the blue "smoke" actually moves, like it's flowing up and interacts with the black.

Aside from horns growing and getting more twisted, I imagine my hexblade's skin changing tone... when she's calm, it gets grayer, and when she's angry or afraid it turns more red.
My warlock has a fiend patron Baphomet. She has little horns that keep growing on her head. She also has a bone hand that is slowly creeping up her wrist.
My wizard is going to take some secret levels in warlock, his patron being the Prince of Frost. I'm having him be marked with the Prince's symbol over his heart. From there, his skin will slowly turn blue, his eyes will do the same, and his hair will turn white as his power grows. He'll also gradually get more resistant to the cold until one day he is nothing but a servant of the Winter Court.
I went a little more subtle, my Genie (Marid) Warlock is always cold, so he waers the biggest scarf one could find and a thick cloak. He'll get cold resistance later on, but I think I'll keep him dressing like that. He's also cold to the touch.
My Hexblade Warlock has a black, draconic claw replace his right hand and lower arm that morphs to purple tattoos that crawl up his upper arm (Shadow Dragon Patron). The hand would turn into whatever his summoned pact weapon would be, kind of like Allen Walker’s arm from D. Gray-Man.
My Celestial Warlock has a scar across her chest that was from a pit fiend, but instead of it looking like gnarly and corrupted flesh, it glows with soft radiant light from where her Solar patron healed her.

My Kalashtar Warlock (Their patron is the Spirit tied to their bloodline) has part of their hair that's turned pale blue as a pact symbol.

The only thing that changed with my warlock is that his eye glow a golden hue when he casts a spell or uses an invocation.
