In one of the campaigns, I currently play in I have a Variant Human Lock/Cleric. The idea behind it was to more or less follow DFC's Ultimate Healer.
We have just hit lvl6 and I sit currently at Celestial Lock 4 x Life Cleric 1, As Variant Human I took Inspiring Leader at lvl1.
I am the only source of healing in our Group which was the basis for this class choice ( Rogue, Ranger, Bladesong are the others) and with the level up in front of me I'm struggling to justify dipping further into Cleric, I just can't see it brings enough to warrant slowing down Lock progress and losing the 15-19 lock abilities ( assuming we get that far).
So far in ToA the healing really hasn't been an issue and most fights I find myself slinging Eldritch Blasts and Using my Healing Light when needed.
Basically, my question is twofold:
a) Does anyone else have experience of this build and have an opinion?
b)is it really worth those extra 5 Cleric lvls for what doesn't seem like a lot of benefit.
I guess my main question would have been, "If you want to be the ultimate healer, why are you taking levels in Warlock?" but that's already done.
As to your main question, no, it really would not be worth it for you to take further Cleric levels. It would be far more advantageous to take levels in Divine Soul Sorcerer instead. Entire Cleric spell list; single ability score.

You don't know what fear is until you've witnessed a drunk bird divebombing you while carrying a screaming Kobold throwing fire anywhere and everywhere.
I was running this build myself. I went cleric till level 3 and just got my first level of warlock when we stopped (to my dismay). The channel divinity is basically another use of healing word/healing light. I at least recommend getting level 3 cleric for spiritual weapon, this spell actually mad me the team dps for a while.
I had personally planned to only take 5 levels of cleric to get level 3 slots/spells, and worry about level 6 at the end.
