Quick background: I am playing a pact of the blade hexblade warlock:
I'm trying to add a pact weapon to my D&D Beyond character sheet, however I am running into a couple of problems: A) if I try to add it as a normal weapon, I get the encumbrance (not a real big problem) and either strength or dexterity modifiers added to the character sheet.
B) I cannot figure out how to add my charisma modifier to the weapon entry.
worse comes to worst, I could just print off the character sheet and write in the stats for the pact blade, but I would rather have it dynamically update when I level up the character.
any suggestions? I'm new to D&D:B so am not very talented at homebrew content yet.
If you click on a weapon, there will be options for hex weapon and pact weapon. Just check those boxes and it should give you the stat changes. For summoning weapons, just add them to your inventory then mark them as pact and hex weapon.
Make sure that you're actually a warlock with the HEXBLADE patron (subclass). Only THEY get the ability to use CHA for their weapon modifier. (and you would check off the weapon as a Hex weapon).
Pact of the Blade boon is a separate entity and does NOT allow you to replace Charisma for weapon stats (though hexblade + pact of the blade synergize VERY well, neither are mutually exclusive or mandatory for the other)
Not to resurrect this old thread. But if you're pact of the blade and pick Lifedrinker, shouldn't it add your CHA modifier in necrotic damage on top of the other damage? When I do it, it merely replaces the damage.
I can confirm I am playing a hexblade warlock with Pact of the Blade. When I click on my weapon, there is no option to make it my hexblade or pact weapon.
I just made a hexblade warlock with pact of the blade to check, and the checkboxes are there for me. When you click a weapon, they're right under the customize button in the right pane.
the 2024 pact of the blade invocation should be allowing the use of charisma on pact weapons, but it currently doesnt seem to work. Hopefully they can fix it soon.
With a glaive equiped I get -1 to hit (which ofc is correct)
If I mark the "pact weapon" box I get +1 to hit, which implies that I get proficient with the weapon as per the Pact weapon rule. Damage is still 1d10-1 though
With a club equiped I get +1 to hit (since WL is proficient with light weapons) but -1 dmg

On the contrary, the 2024 PHB clearly states that Pact of the Blade says you use your Charisma modifier for both the attack roll and the damage roll and you can conjure ANY Martial Melee weapon as your Pact weapon.
Whether your DM lets you conjure a flintlock pistol or musket as a Pact weapon, is a matter for you and your DM to discuss. In my opinion, Eldritch Blast is far more versatile than a smoke powder firearm.

Can't do it on the app, gotta do it on the site
I dont see it nvm
to clarify this is only for if you purchase the hexblade class, not if using a homebrew version??

Having the same issue. The box is there to check, but no stat changes come of it for now
What I'm seeing is the CHA modifier being applied but not the PB.
Annoyingly, this isn't the case. I've tried using a Longsword and applying the Pact of the Blade on a +0 STR/+5 CHA and it still only shows +2 to hit.
So they definitely need to adjust something here.
Yes, I get the same thing.
lvl 1 and 0 str/ 3 cha

Marking the club as pact weapon changes nothing.
*Sadface*
Was thinking the same when I was setting up the other day and found this thread. However today it seems to have updated to CHA I believe?
EDIT: Well its fixed on the browser but not the phone/tablet apps
I don't even have an option to select my weapon into a pact weapon, I have pact of the blade and hex warrior, have they moved it?
