What I do (and allow my players to do) pick one of the stat blocks from Imp, Quasit, Pseudodragon, or sprite and use that but you can pick any form for your familiar as long as it’s similar size and fits thematically with your pact. I’ve played a celestial warlock who’s patron was a powerful Couatl so my familiar used the Imp statblock (or whatever I needed to change it to) but always took the appearance of a small blue, orange and cream coloured snake with tiny budgie like wings that always stayed coiled up around her upper arm. Easily able to have the same powers a single an imp but thematically more in line with a celestial.
Personally, I think the Imp is the best, not just because it has the highest hit points and benefits the most from familiar buffs. If you take the Sculptor of Flesh invocation, you can Polymorph your Imp into any CR 1 Beast, and you can still see through it's eyes. Chainlocks are good summoners.
I went Pact of the Chain as a Hexblade. I picked the pseudodragon.
One thing I am extremely disappointed with regarding pseudodragons now is that back in AD&D/1e and maybe 2e they had a camouflage ability. I think this should be brought back as advantage on stealth checks

you're forgetting slaad tadpole! It would work great with fiend or great old one.
I love slaad tadpole
they burst out of people's torsos and then squirm around
