Hello everyone! I was hoping I could find some help? I’m wondering if there is an already existing homebrew of a specific warlock subclass that I’m currently (trying to?) playing as. My warlock was forced to making a pact with his patron, and as part of the pact, the patron rips out my character’s soul and converts it into his Arcane Focus crystal, using his patrons powers (not granted his own like normal warlock powers) through it. But the more he uses the patron’s magic, the more his soul crystal corrupts and begins to crack, darken, and eventually either shatters or becomes an inert rock. At this point, the dm would chose if the player character dies and the patron owns his soul (maybe prompting a quest to rescue it?) or if the soul simply dies with no hope of resurrection. Either way, the body is left behind and the patron is free to use it as they see fit, like possess it and walk freely on the mortal plane or use it as a puppet to do his bidding.
As you can see, it’s kinda super specific. I was wondering if there was an already existing homebrew subclass similar like that, or is it as simple as adapting the vanilla flavor warlock to that backstory? (I’m new here, please be gentle?)
This sounds a lot like a very powerful night hag. Night hags use souls as currency and trade them with devils and demons. They collect them in their soul bag and can appear via dreams. If your DM is allowing home brew patrons, then consider a Night Hag of immense power who has imbued the soul Crystal with power but also the ability to crack and take the soul of the user.
Sounds like a very cool idea. Mechanically, night hags are Archfey. So they focus on subtlety, rather than pure power. If you're taking just a demon who's collecting should and ripping you for pleasure, there's plenty of sadistic ones in pact of the fiend. I suggest your DM sort of reskin the Archfey a bit to reflect a night hag, and you should be able to meet mechanical and RP flavor needs. Best of success to you!

May the gentle moonlinght guide you to greater wisdom
The folks at Middle Finger of Venca have some pretty good homebrew Patrons. There is a Fiend Skin Patron where you bond with your patron and literally wear their skin. It's pretty horrifying. Your soul crystal idea could be another part of the bizarre ritual.
