Our group has the option of getting one of these, and coincidentally we are leveling at the same time. I would be adding a new invocation for my chainlock, and to me the synergy of this magic item with & invocation on paper seems very strong. The warlock is fiendpact; so no built in healing but we do use the rules for recovering hit dice at the end of a short rest. Obviously warlocks want short rests. Since going this route is forcing using resources to get this item, and doubling down on an invocation, would this seem like a really nice combination for our upcoming dungeon delve?
It does seem strong, but how often do you get badly injured? I'd say that the Periapt of Wound Closure would be better given to one of your party's front line fighters than using it yourself.
The same with Pact of the Ever Living Ones. It's great on paper if you're getting hurt a lot. If you rarely get hurt, and a warlock should avoid getting hurt, you won't use it very much.
As written, this sounds like a fantastic combo. I do agree with Tim though, I think you would be better served by giving the pendant to a different party member if you are you have this invocation. Of course this is under the assumption that this is the only one you have and your other members are lacking easy ways to boost health. If you found a box of these things and just want to min/max your personal situation then that's fine. But groups survivability would be increased if you aren't stacking movies to unnecessarily.
