Hey, yall I am a long-time player but a first-time Wizard player. Long story short I am playing a new character in our campaign and am an 11th-level Order of Scribes Owlin Wizard. I have an INT of 20 and CON of 16 with the Resilient feat (CON). I am looking ahead to level 12 and 16 (we level up quickly due to how our games are run) and just wondering if anyone has some feats? I was thinking metamagic adept for quickened and twinned spells but don't know if there's a better option.
Alert warrants consideration. The sooner you go, the better you can place down a nasty AoE while everything is relatively close together.
Eldritch adept might be handy. Devil's sight is nice, or maybe other invocations might better suit your fancy. Give it a look.
Personally, I don't think picking up twinned spell is all that great when you only get two sorcery points. No twinning polymorph or haste, for example.
Do you already have War Caster? It would be on my list. Lucky is probably the best single feat in the game, though. Ability to re-roll a failed save or other important roll is never a bad thing.
Metamagic Adept while almost a must have for a sorcerer, is nice, but not nearly as useful to you. If you do take it, Extended Spell is nice with doubling durations of a spell for 1 point. Transmuted Spell, changing the damage type is also good. So it will be useful, but you will only be able to do it a couple of times. Definitely be thinking about what actions only cost 1 sorcery point ahead of time. I don't think Quickened is as good of an option here, since you only get two sorcery points. You still will be limited by the rules on casting two spells in a turn i.e. bonus action spell means only a cantrip with your action.
Since you're a Scribe wizard maybe Elemental Adept? Its not the greatest feat but since you can change what type of damage your spell's deal it might help to raise your average damage a little by treating 1s on your damage die as 2s. The more dice you roll and the more likely you are to roll a 1, the more impactful this feat might be. For example, it would be more likely to help your damage output when rolling 4d4 for cloud of daggers than for rolling 3d8 for shatter.
I did a quick analysis of wizard spells for my own scribe character concept and found that Fire and Cold damage were the only damage types that had at least one spell associated with it at every slot level, so switching spells to those damage types would require no weird upcasting or anything to match levels. While you do still have to worry about elemental immunities, you can at least bypass any resistance creatures have to it as well.
My character concept was a Tiefling Scribe Wizard who would take both Flames of phlegethos and Elemental Adept (Fire). Change all my damage types to Fire, if I roll a 1 then I use Flames of phlegethos to reroll and if I roll another 1 then I just treat it as a 2. Then could also proc the fire shield ability from Flames of phlegethos. The obvious achille's heel is fighting creatures with fire immunity, but even then I am basically a standard wizard for the fight, so not much lost by investing in the fire aspect imo.
I was curious about twinning either of the second level spells that count as third level spells from the Order of Scribes feature. It allows you to create a special scroll of a first of a second level spell that when cast counts as one level up. I have no idea how this mechanic works with the sorcery point casting. I know you can use sorcery points on a spell scroll but this one is so unique I wonder if it would work? Maybe the twinned spell on a effectively third level chromatic orb is worth it?

My thought was using Quickend spell for Mind Sliver then casting something to take advantage of the -1d4 to saving throws. I have certainly considered War Caster, would certainly ensure I do not lose concentration on summoning spells! lucky I know is very strong, I'm just not big on the lack of flavor personally.
Did you know that in a heavy obscurement area (Fog Cloud, Pyrotechnics) Alert makes attacks against being at disadvantage, besides the +5 and never get surprised.
(Yes, rules are odd… in a heavy obscurement area the illumination and blind rules effectively eliminate advantage and disadvantage, making all attacks regular)

I tend to be greedy and go for Resilient (Con saves) *and* War Caster
I'd even go for Lucky before metamagic adept, unless I was playing an evocation wizard
Alert is amazing.
