Hi, I was editing a character and wanted to change the Arcane Tradition I had given them. This character is part of a campaign and I have access to shared content via my DM, before, that was enough to be able to access a variety of content/Arcane Traditions/Schools that my DM owned. But after I removed the one I had there is only the School of Evocation left (and one Homebrew option). Previously, when first setting up the character, I had a way longer list. In addition, I also recently purchased the 2024 PHB. It feels like this error/problem occured right AFTER I bought that for myself. Does anyone know what happend here? I also lost the access to the original School I had set them up with :(
I read in a different thread that buying the PBH would help add more options to Arcane Tradition, but that thread didn't mention shared content, and it seems adding/buying the PBH CAUSED this in the first place. Any ideas?
If you only had access to those options because the character was in a campaign with content sharing turned on, then any of the following might have caused them to go away:
You pulled the character out of that campaign
The DM turned off content sharing for that campaign, or they have enabled content sharing for too many campaigns (there's a limit of 5)
The DM's master-tier subscription lapsed so they can't do content sharing anymore
If the character is still in the campaign, check with the DM about the content sharing settings.
Buying the 2024 PHB would not remove your access to anything you already had. It would give you access to the 2024 version of the Wizard class and the four subclasses that come with it, but it does appear you're still using the 2014 version. (I say this because you used the terms "Arcane Tradition" and "School of Evocation", which in the new version have been replaced with "Subclass" and "Evoker".) So I don't think this has anything to do with your new PHB purchase; the timing may just be coincidental.
