Hey guys, so with bladesinger's extra attack it says at level 6 you get an extra attack. Now I've been told that it is level 6 regardless of if its six levels into wizard or not, but my entire table and dm say that's not how that works. We spent 30 minutes going over it and everyone still says that it doesn't do that and that I am in the wrong. I've told the to look it up but all they did was go to the ******* and never bothered to google the ruling. What official ruling can I show them that that's how it works?
3.Record New Class Features. Look at your class features table in “Character Classes”, and note the features you gain at your new level in that class. Make any choices offered by a new feature.

Who told you that it works that way?
Plaguescarred (and your DM, and the rest of the Players) are correct in this. All subclass features are gained solely through levels in the main class, and the vast majority of them only care about levels in the main class, and not about the total character level.
There are a few things that only care about total character level (for example, Proficiency Bonus and Cantrip progression) but the Extra Attack feature is not one of them on any Core Rules Class or Subclass that I've seen.

It's a feature Bladesinger Wizard gain at level 6 alone, not your total level.
