So I finally created my Human Variant Mage-Hunter Wizard using Xanathar's Lost Notes to Everything Else. Really digging what I came up with. "Kwalu" is from the island of Chult and after an attack by a necromancer's NPC party that left the tribe's Mage-Hunter dead, he was selected to take his place. With a tarantula familiar, a level in Rogue, and his spells/feats designed to combat evil wizards, he's off on an adventure!
But honestly, manipulating this character build so he could throw a dagger at 6th level and have it teleport back to his hand was one of my main inspirations for creating this type of Wizard. Here is a link to my Character sheets (level 1-7) and the video that I recorded to explain my thought process on some of the selections I chose.
