I don’t think it will, but you can ask your DM. I’m playing a School of Conjuration Wizard right now and I wish that Minor Conjuration would allow me to create rope!
That is a trixy question. I could see it being allowed and not allowed for various reasons.
Minor Conjuration says the object cannot be more than 3 feet on any side and coiled up it wouldn't be - but then again you could argue it is because it's 50 feet long regardless of whether it's coiled up.
At least it's within the weight limit of 10 lbs. A two-person tent isn't though. That's 20lbs and wouldn't work even if you allowed conjuring folded up items.
Edit: Maybe conjuring a coiled up rope would work - but the second you uncoil it and it becomes larger than 3 feet in any direction it poofs out of existence? That would be funny.
I'm the DM for our group and I'm not sure how to rule it. I can see valid arguments both ways.
One fun thought is that if someone cuts a conjured rope it will immediately disappear. There are all sorts of occasions where someone might cut a rope without even thinking about it, like tying someone or something up with it.
"Starting at 2nd level when you select this school, you can use your full action to conjure up an inanimate object in your hand or on the ground in an unoccupied space that you can see within 4 metres of you. This object can be no larger than 1 metre on a side and weigh no more than 10 pounds, and its form must be that of a nonmagical object that you have seen. ..... The object disappears after 1 hour, when you use this feature again, or if it takes any damage."
Sure, you can make a rope that disappears in an hour. I'd let you make a very long rope. 250 ft of magic rope should fit in a 1 meter cube and be right at 10 lb. Do not cut the rope... or its gone instantly.
So you can make a rope that lasts an hour.... or a big tarp that can be used to make a smallish tent just in time for it to disappear.
For a tent, you might have to be a bit creative. For example, you have a collapsible tent designed for you by a Tinker or an Artificer that fits in a 3-foot cube. The study it and cast it at least once a day to keep it in your mind for future use. :)
My Conjurer is a Smith, Tinkerer, Alchemist, Carpenter with the Keen Mind feat. Because of this my DM really allows me to get creative.
Also, he has House Rules that Mithril and Adamantite are non-magical, so I use that when I create tools and items where needed. :)

As a DM, I would totally allow this. Why not - Abilities such as Minor Conjuration (or a Transmuter's Minor Alchemy) are begging for creative use. We're talking about a mundane item that lasts an hour. I mean, rope or tents could be purchased in most town markets. If a market's unavailable, well, this is why you have a conjurer in the party. ;-)
What if you have a coiled rope, but it is trapped in a 3-foot cube, so to speak. As in, as soon as you are about to uncoil it enough that it would be more than 3 feet in one direction, it won't move outwards in that direction any longer. Just a thought.

Can Minor Conjuration be used to create a coil of rope, a folded blanket, or other object that fits in a 3-foot cube, but unfolds to a larger size?

Its only going to last 1 hour... let it work.
