Recently I've been brewing up ideas of what kind of wizards can occur when they focus on two separate schools of magic versus focusing on one. Like the best example that comes to mind for me is comparing the War Magic would be a combination of abjuration and evocation, least in my opinion. I know this isn't an original idea, but I'm just wondering what everyone else has come up with. So far here's a list of examples I have so far;
School of Entropy (Necromancy-Enchantment) - Focusing on hexs, curses, and other effects
School of Infusion (Evocation-Transmutation) - Manipulating the use of magic, thinking of a similar manner as meta-magic
School of Tinkering (Transmutation-Enchantment) - Focusing on animation and clockwork themed effects
School of Chronomancy (Transmutation-Divination) - Simple, it's time magic
School of Elementalism (Evocation-Conjuration) - A school that focuses primarily with natural elements (ex, fire, earth, wind, etc)
School of Arcane Warriors (Abjuration-Conjuration) - Summoning armor and weapons, might look like a blade song variant if done incorrectly
School of Demonology (Necromancy-Conjuration) - Focus on the demons, devils, and other demonic beings
Necromancy and Divination have roots that are intrinsically linked, and this is still reflected today in seances, spiritualism, and ventriloquism. So for a dual study of Necromancy-Divination, perhaps some of the following:
School of Ventriloquism
School of Gastromancy or Engastrimyths (both early names for ventriloquism)
School of Sciomancy (Divination through the dead and often "Shadow" related)
Thanks for the suggestion, I actually never thought of those two school being that closely linked, but after some thought it does make sense. Though a wizard school that focus's on spirits/ghost sounds like it would be awesome.
School of Alchemy (Conjuration/Transmutation) - Conjure and alter substances, able to summon and evolve creatures into a monstrous forms to protect them.
School of Trickery (Enchantment/Illusion) - Influences the senses and the mind with subtle magic, causing creatures to harm their allies through deceit.
School of Oracles (Divination/Necromancy) - Listens to spirits to gain foresight and knowledge, can also summon them to fight.
School of Battle (Abjuration/Evocation) - Uses elemental magic to both protect themselves and their allies while annihilating their foe with devastating power.

I like the first two a lot.

The Alchemist was heavily inspired by the Simic Combine from Guildmaster's Guide to Ravnica as well as Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.
The Trickster was inspired by the Dimir and the Arcane Trickster in a similar way that War Magic mirrors the Eldritch Knight.
