Hey i'm new to dungeons and dragons (as in never played before) and am looking to make a bladesinger, is it possible to be an Eladrin Bladesinger?
It's possible, but not especially optimal. The racial sub-type ASI applies to charisma, which wouldn't be as useful on a single classed bladesinger as an intelligence boost. Unless using the DMG version, Eladrin also lose out on Elf weapon training (it's a tad silly that both Eladrin and Shadar-kai lose out on this racial trait). A bladesinger gets a free weapon proficiency, but it's always helpful to have more options.

If this is a stupid question i apologise, i've looked for ages on all kinds of websites but never seen it specifically stated, merely saying it is generally an Elf Only kind of class. Really hoping it counts as Eladrin are cousins to the elves and, in a way, more like how elves were before they left Arvandor. (Again please excuse my lacking knowledge, just looking to get into the game and have fun, no one i know has played before either.)
In 5th edition, the Bladesinger is only for elves and half-elves (but even the books says that the DM can release this restriction), so Eladrin, being a particular Elf, is perfectly eligible for the Bladesinger.
Eladrin Bladesinger is D&D legal but not for Adventurer's League. Going Eladrin as your subrace makes MToF your PHB +1 book while the Bladesinger is in Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide.

It's actually better than the stat bonuses would imply, the short rest teleport and it's rider effects can actually be a really strong effect for a melee oriented bladesinger to open combat with, winter and autumn give you some real potential control effects- charming a target so they can't attack you and trigger an OA as they move away to get to an ally of yours instead (or just enjoy the extra survivability as you channel the enemy to a better target) or using the frightened to impose disadvantage on something's attack rolls at you and your allies. Summer has potential to contribute to your already good wave clear as a wizard, for example dropping fireball as an action and then fey stepping straight into a cluster of enemies you just softened and tacking on an extra handful of damage while getting yourself into position for melee makes a big difference when you don't have all the fighters attacks, the rest of the standard elven kit of benefits is great too of course.
