haven't checked desktop, but i was unable to find a search feature for the compendium. The compensium is laid out very linearly with the phb, which is great if you've read the phb forwards and backwards and know where to look. 

However, a keyword search that brings you into relevent compendium articles would be great! It would increase the usability at the table when you have a quick question (wanting to know the effects of dim light for instance).
