When I was first exploring the website and platform, I wasn't sure if I was going to use it mainly for character sheet generation and reference or whether I'd be diving in with a subscription to use it to run my impending campaign. At first, I worked with each of my players to make an account with me on my profile, and subscribed telling them that if they joined and joined my campaign, we could get started. Apparently I can't move a character from my bin to my players', so now I have to sit with them each to create a copy of their character for their account. Whoops. Might advise in a feature like that for DMs like myself who are trying to get their players to quick-join something I've prepared.
With the idea of character templates in mind for adventure and modules, this is for sure a feature on the list of table management tools D&D Beyond will be adding.
As a good workaround mentioned on other threads, until this feature is done you can just ask to your players create a blank character and as the campaign DM you can fill the rest.
Kabalistus- that's the solve we're going with. Gave them a chance to really nail down their vision for their character as I confirmed things, at least.
