I, like many people in the d&d setting, have bought books at the start as I didn't know this website existed and now I have 8 books with no way to put them into this website as there is no way to redeem them. This is really frustrating for me and probably some other players that don't want to pay for these books twice because, let's be honest, they are expensive and I and many others simply don't have the money for this. There is no reason why we shouldn't have a way of being able to get these books onto dnd beyond. But I want to know what everyone else thinks so I have attached a poll to this
This topic gets brought up almost daily. The FAQ in suport forum has a thorough explanation. The short answer is DDB is just a store and has to pay WotC for every licence they sell. Basically, it is completely up to WotC, DDB would do it if they could.
You can use homebrew tools to insert needed player options (dont publish these), or you can buy needed player options piecemeal instead of whole book.
There are only 2 books which are easier to buy whole book than deal with that, and there are 20% off coupons all the time.
send a video of you books... then slide over to your computer and try making a character with a race or class exclusive to a book you have but not on dnd beyond... then scroll back to the books... that should be identification enough

How would this video prove you own the books, as opposed to having borrowed them from a friend?
