I like the system, and how it is formatted, but as a stand alone phase one is not something I would invest in. As a DM I have no trouble making up magic Items, and I already own the spell cards. What I am really hoping for is a one stop source where I can write and organize a campaign. Being able to use the recourses here to keep track of my world and the story.
Personally this is something I've wanted with other games for a long time. 3.5, Pathfinder, Rifts (dear god Rifts), they all became so cumbersome as you get more and more books to the point that it was almost impossible to find anything you want. Hell, just magic spells in the first book is cumbersome when you're looking for your first level spells and you don't even know what you're looking for. I really hope this project is successful and other companies decide to do something similar. No reason not to have a database so you're not searching for hours just for this one talent that makes it so you can use whips effectively against armored opponents.

It sounds like you're, like me, looking forward to peeking into Phase 3.
