I request that D&D Beyond work on a homebrew magic item creation tool for Vestiges of Divergence a la Matt Mercer's Critical Role magic items. But I play in Eberron so they are Vestiges of Prophecy (the draconic prophecy). The current system does not really allow for magic items that can level or expand powers including increasing bonuses.
I've got several I am making in my homebrew creations but I would rather my players not be able to see all three of the stages of the magic items if they were to look at it on their character sheets.
the best way to handle this using D&D Beyond is to make a separate magic item for each "level" of the item, then the character can equip the appropriate item.
Note that if you remove the homebrew from your homebrew collection, then it isn't shared, so players have no way to see it - you can go to your creations and add it back to your collection whenever you like.
