Backgrounds in the compendium do not show what feat or ability scores they offer like they do in the PHB. Same for homebrew backgrounds in the homebrew collection.
The homebrew backgrounds editor still seems to be 2014-based and does not let you specify ability scores. I see that if you choose a background without ability scores you'll at least get a special section on the ability score tab where you can select your bonuses.
