So I really like what I see so far on the site, and I like what the future holds. Here's my feedback:
I want to have all this data and the future product (though the forums aren't necessary for this), with this user interface that I can download and use offline. If I was connected to the net, it could sync for updates and additions, but still be able to use offline. I would pay good money for this.
I am a Soldier, and surprisingly, there are a LOT of military servicemembers who play. To be able to use this when I have downtime in a deployed setting with no internet would be worth something.
Just a suggestion, I don't know what you guys have planned in that regard
Its been stated before by staff that a standalone, offline app is an essential part of their vision for this project. So hopefully you'll be good to go in that regard.
There is currently a mobile app in development, which aims to address the suggestions you have cited. Offline-accessible content remains a goal of this service. As Phase 2 nears, more information on developments should be exposed.
Looking forward to see how this is because it would be great if the app would work offline with access to information and resync once you had access again.
I totally understand the need of this, especially with the military. I played D&D a LOT when in the service. One of the bases I was stationed at for several months of technical training had a game shop right outside the gate I spent a lot of time at on weekends. Not every deployment is going to give service people the access to internet they want, yet it never stops any from figuring out how to play some game or other even on the long flight to get there. ;) Besides there is the need to travel light and you can't take your library with you unless you can take it in digital form. I'm a huge reader as well. I was usually locked down in some building on a large base, but I have had friends deployed to some pretty remote places and hop around on TDY's.

it could be worse, you could be on fire.
