I'm sure this has been asked before, but I've just been wondering, why you can't connect your real-life purchases (like the core rule set books) with DnDBeyond?
I personally feel very hesitant about buying the books in the marketplace, when I already have them in real-life - thus making me use DnDbeyond less... Is there any way that could be made easier/changed?
Also, what are you guys' thoughts? Am I crazy, or does this also bother you?
Seconded. I have HUNDREDS of dollars already invested in physical copies of the books, I have ZERO incentive to spend another $25-30 per title. An annual subscription should include access to ALL the available materials, even if that subscription was more.
This topic of conversation has been rehashed time and time again. It's not something WotC is interested in doing, so it's unlikely to be a feature you're going to see any time in the future. Please take some time to read this thread, as it explains and answers your question. I'm locking this thread before it gets out of hand.

I thought about putting some kind of codes or likewise inside the purchased (real-life) books, that you can then activate on the site?

A dwarf with a canoe on his back? What could go wrong?
