While I understand this would be a big task for the dev's to accomplish, I had a thought while creating a changeling rouge, If there could eventually be a toggle or some type of feature that would allow a player to basically create a cover-up character sheet to hide the fact that they are playing a changeling. For example I am working on building a changeling rouge and I don't want other players in the group to know that, so every time they check out my character sheet it shows a character sheet that might have the same stats but just shows that I'm a human or something else. Any thoughts or ideas on this would be great!
I think the best thing to do would be literally making a duplicate character sheet and adding that character sheet to the DDB campaign. Even if the Changeling was masked with Human or Elf they could still view your racial traits, and see they line up with a Changeling. Then put the actual Changeling character in another DDB campaign so the DM can still view your real sheet.
I do think it would be awesome to be able to cover it up, but I think if you have a secondary mocked up character sheet in the same sheet as your Changeling, you are likely to look at a racial trait the human/elf has and in a quick glance think its one you actually have. The same could be said for using my method though.
Malak in my signature is my Changeling in a current PbP. His main persona is a Half-Orc so I have him in my siggy as a Half-Orc and his portrait is that of a Half-Orc if someone were to view him and not pay much mind to the actual displayed race. Of course, he is a Changeling and really looking will show you that. But that would be player info and not character info, so if they aren't meta playing what's the real harm in the players knowing?
