I just got my daughters, they're significant other and my girlfriend interested. I started them off with the starter campaign, even as it stands this will already help me run my campaign more efficiently. I can't wait for what's to come.
I've loved D&D for years but sadly never had anyone to game with. Recently my twin daughters and their significant others wanted to play so I got all the books and the starter set. I'm the DM, we can't play as much as we would like but it's all good. I'm a big fan of Critical Role, and Acquisitions Incorporated.
I have learned a lot about being a dm from watching Matt Mercer and Chris Perkins. I actually did a one shot that I created in about 20 minutes for my daughter and her boyfriend. The three of us had a blast. I have always did impersonations since I was a kid, and they loved it.
'I'm looking forward to us playing again and using beyond to help me keep the flow running smoothly and efficiently.
Thanks to all of you for what you are doing with beyond!

I love playing DnD, I DM adventures.and get to play on the other side of the table as well. I game therefore I am.
The biggest thing my Bard and Cleric players have difficulty with is keeping track of spell minutiae, so I agree even this basic compendium is legitimately helpful as a reference tool.
I'm starting to run games from my two boys. My youngest still prefers No Thank You Evil and Hero Kids, but the seeds are set for D&D. My older son (4th) likes D&D but pretty much wants to focus on combat and is not so interested in the exploration and social aspects. I suspect that will improve as he ages.
Just dropping by real quick to say that I've been playing D&D since 2nd edition and always loved it. I have so many books it's scary!!
I stopped buying D&D material however after the 4th edition (only have about 20 books) because my friends and I got tired of having to buy all the books over and over again and carry them around depending where we play, getting them damaged with time, having to pause games to find a rule in a obscure corner of a specific book, etc.
I read all over the place that some people may not be ready to pay a monthly fee for an app like this (I can't wait to give the android app a tryout btw!) but I just want to say that all my friends are MORE than willing to pay a monthly fee to have all the official material in a single application. So keep it up! As soon as the option to subscribe is available, you've got a few customers from Canada waiting! ;)
P.S. It may not be the best place to ask but do we know if prices will be in USD only? It would mean a 30% price increase for Canadian customers and I'm sure we're not the only ones having to deal with this (very annoying) issue.
I also want to say how useful, even now, I'm finding DnDB. I have the DMG, PHB, and MM, but I find myself "reaching" for this site rather than books. I'm in the process of writing a chapter-by-chapter campaign for my son and his friends and DnDB is quite useful even in this early phase.
Can't wait to see what's next.
Thanks!
Doh! I almost forgot: I also really love these forums. It's nice having the information next to a place where you can post questions about it.

Love your quote
Hey Artorius, welcome to the forums!
I'm glad you've found DBB so helpful even at this early stage.

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile.

If you can't find players, grow them!

I wear pants, short pants.
I also ask a lot of questions; insatiably curious
