the devs have commented that they are planning to add an overall search feature later. For now, you are restricted to searching individual sections (spells, items, monsters).
Yeah, I am waiting on the overall search feature. As of right now if I want to double check an attribute or a skill that I know is linked, I need to find where it is linked like on a monster or elsewhere. On a good note with this linking already in place, it only helps with further searching capabilities they add. I know more will be added to the compendium when the character creation stuff is added. At least it makes sense that will all be added so we can test character creation with lookup and character sheet usage at the same time. I like how they are making sure the foundation works before they add to it though it seems a lot of people are getting antsy.
Here's to them creating an easy to use but advanced search engine to drill through all the information. I like how things are being initially organized even if I get a little mixed up looking at the compendium and finding the right thing. It's just a matter of getting used to the layout versus having started memorizing page numbers in PDFs.

Is there a search feature for the non-forums that isn't appearing or is this not currently a feature?
If this is not a feature, I strongly recommend adding it to assist in ease of use.

+1 on this guy. Search to me is the biggest reason why I would use online. I have a difficult time finding things in the books using the index alone.
