Hey, I get that the Compendium is mirroring the PHB, but it feels clunky to have the drop down menu with the information I want as well as having the sections in the Compendium. Can we have one or the other? To me, a Character drop down menu would be better for listing characters built in phase 2 and leaving the general race, class, background, and feat information in the Compendium
I like how the pages with the information look, but just don't necessarily think I need 2 different ways to get to the same page.
I actually like the Characters drop-down. Most of the information people are looking for are dealing with class/race/feats/backgrounds and having to navigate to it through the compendium every time can be tedious. Same thing for spells, items, and monsters... it's nice to have them in their own button rather than piled together in the compendium.
I rather like the drop down too and having the character area separate from the compendium. Repeating it all in the compendium seems to be more work because if you have to update something now it is in two places instead of one - UNLESS the actual info displayed is pulled from ONE source.
EDIT: I figured out NOTHING is duplicated. When you are in the compendium and click on races it pops you over the race page in the characters section. So definitely not a bad setup and things are linking correctly from the compendium to the subsections where further information is stored.
Current Table of Contents doesn't make sense, for easier navigation and readability recommend having Chapters sorted top to bottom per column, not left to right.
The Character tab seems more like it would be where you would go to look at the characters you have created or to look at pre-generated characters.

Column Flow is Confusing post in the beta testing feedback notes this with pictures of the confusion even. =) They are aware of this and will be fixing it with the best solution. If it is too confusing make the browser the width of one column and then everything lines up smashingly well. At least those on phones or smaller tablets are probably less confused at this time. =)

It's not always easy as I've seen people put comments into posts with another topic. Just trying to help keep things sorted as I know the moderators and staff read all of this stuff and then have to sort out our wishes and desires along with what actual bugs we are seeing. At least, the testing is including people using all sorts of devices to look at the website to help out. It isn't easy making things look good on both large and small things and everything in between. =) I do most of my stuff at a desktop with a widescreen, but it's fun resizing the browser to see what it does.

I'll have to remember to search for duplicates when I next post XD
