So in the character builder I currently see 3 toggles to allow more and more content (Homebrew, Critical Role, and UA). My use case was I wanted to see if the UA Artificer would be available as a class to select if I left the UA toggle on. I had to create a fake character and go a few pages into the character creation process to answer my question. Maybe this info (what content is being added by toggling on) could be made more easily available? Browsing Homebrew content is obviously available pre-character creation. Maybe next to those toggles add links to pages containing all the content being added? Maybe you can do better by surfacing them in the menus so you don't have to create a fake character at all?
If you go over the "Class" hover nav in "Character" you can see all of the classes available. You can also look something up using search to see if it is available to you.
Seconded. I'd assumed the main subclass options would be available, but that doesn't seem to be the case. It looks like this eventually will be a neat tool, but is rough to use unless you are doing a straight core character. Subclasses available in the PHB or Xanathar's should be in UA.

You need to purchase anything not in the SRD provided for free by WOTC.
Homebrew creations needs a "campaign" option where you select content.
In other words, show the library of everything that is a "product" and put a tick box next to it for "allowed/not allowed" for each campaign. That's it! When people create characters for the campaign, they only get to select options that are permitted by the DM.

Nice and clean!
Sounds like you'll be pretty happy when granular content sharing is introduced - as I understand it, what you have described is very similar to how that will work. :)

Yes to this!
