When I "Add to Home Screen" for the website, it seems to pull in a screenshot of the full page instead of a better-designed icon.
If needed, https://webdesign.tutsplus.com/articles/quick-tip-give-your-website-an-ios-home-screen-icon--webdesign-10067 has some good details on how to add your own specifically-designed icon for the site.
It would also be great to have separate icons that are visually distinct for different section of the compendium.
