the hermit background does not auto choose the herbalism kit. In fact, it isn’t an option. Every other tool, instrument, and maybe gaming set, is available.
I tried turning off all Eberron, Critical Role, MtG content, etc., but to no avail. Please help. That proficiency is useful.

D&D Beyond FoundersIs your character a druid? If so, they automatically gain proficiency with the herbalism kit, so can't select it a second time.
