I’ve had one of the players in my campaign get an ad mid game that redirected them to one of those gift card sites. Here’s a screenshot. It’s a little tough mid-game to be taken out of their character sheet and redirected to an add that requires them to close out of the tab and open a new one or try and go back and refresh the sheet, hoping the same ad doesn’t come up.

Not sure if anything can be done, but wanted to make you aware.

D&d beyond does not have pop ups (I've never even seen an ad).

Have your player check his browser extensions for anything he didn't authorize and run an antivirus scan.

Yes that looks like a clickbait ad that you get from doing certain things in facebook or such.

It’s definitely a clickbait ad that opened up. This was on iOS in Safari and I watched it happen in real time. I’ll certainly have them check their settings, however I’m curious if this is happening to other users on mobile. We had one other person at the table who this also happened to, but they haven’t had it happen recently. I’m subscribed so I can share content with the group, otherwise I would test it out.
