Just starting a CoS campaign, and my biggest annoyance is that while there's a link to, say, "Areas of the House", the navigation menu doesn't have a submenu of "1. Entrance" "2. Main Hall" etc. I can't just ctrl+F "11" to get to the heading because I also get all the sections that reference Area 11, so I have to scroll through the entire page to get to the right section, which I expect will get quite annoying when I get to something like Amber Temple. It'd be even better if all the text like "see area 21 for more information" had hyperlinks on "area 21" that linked to that section, and if I could right click+open in new tab on the actual map to go to those links I would be incredibly happy, although I expect that would likely be more difficult to implement.
So, after looking into what the Beyond Help extension does, it doesn't actually seem to add additional Table of Contents material. It seems like DnD Beyond provides subsections for some areas, but not all areas, with seemingly no logic behind which do or don't have them (Amber Temple, for instance, despite being an enormous section with 42 areas has no area subsections, whereas Krezk with 5 areas does).
The framework is there for all adventures to have a full list of areas in the side menu.
As far as I understand, it comes down to the number of locations in the chapter though - if there are too many and they were all added to the side menu, then the menu would disappear off the bottom of the screen.
I believe that alternatives are being investigated for how to present the menu for such adventures.

Makes sense, but it's also kind of funny that in the ones that need it most, it can't be present. I don't envy trying to design UI for something like this that has to work on everything from phones to computer monitors.

Beyond Help (Chrome extension) helps somewhat by extending the side-bar functionality (among other things).

Looks like it'll be useful for other reasons, but sadly it doesn't support CoS yet.Oh, just realized it does support most of CoS, but not the Death House bit for some reason. Well, this solves my problem, thanks!
I think there's also a download you can do for it that wasn't included in the base extension for some reason.

Yup, it's certainly not an easy job!
I've met the team UX designer though and from what I have seen, they are really good at what they do, so I am sure this will get sorted at some point.
The current big UX task is the main menu systems for the site.
