Why is halfling not included in the monster sub-type drop down? This field is restricted to the drop down options. It seems like all races should be represented here, as this is the only way to create NPCs.
Many of the humanoid races are not represented in the monster manual. It is intended that you take a NPC monster like mage and add racial features to make it a halfling mage or whatever.
The only races that show up in monster sub-types is mostly because it was a named NPC from an adventure book.
