A way i got around it for my player was making a feat for the fighting style and giving it to the player and just telling them to not fill in the fighting style option in the character builder. I do reccomend labelling it a fighting style in the feat name thouh so rest of party do not get confused.
Will we get the ability to add custom fighting styles? If not, will the UA fighting styles get added to D&DB?
The UA fighting stules will not get added to DDB unless they get reprinted.
Homebrew fighting styles (as well as eldritch invocations) are planned for the future but may be a while.
In the meantime, you will have to make them options in a homebrew subclass and tell the player to only take the custom or official options, not both.
