I love using DDB to make characters, but sometimes I want a different look for my character sheet (in my current case, I want something simpler for new players). Does anyone know of a website or tool that'll take the JSON from a D&D Beyond character and output a nice-looking character sheet? Preferably something customizable.
Alternatively... if none exist, how would D&D Beyond feel if I built something to do that? Of course making it clear it's an unrelated project.
As long as what you make does not grant access to licenced material that you havent purchased, I don't think they will mind. There are a handful of browser extensions for DDB that they haven't taken action against (to my knowledge).
Yeah, I believe the unofficial policy is that it's fine to hook into the JSON payloads for plug-in purposes, but don't be surprised if something breaks eventually. They haven't commited to a stable API as far as I know.
