I'm just posting this here because I also posted this on fantasy grounds. To me digital content should be easier to deal with. But all that happens is I end up having to pay for it with every website I want to use it with. I've already bought all the books to Fantasy grounds. I've also bought all the books physically. I would like to make character sheets here but I can't justify spending a bunch of money on the same books I already own.
The only work arounds is to add the options you want with homebrew tools.
Buying books from other sites/stores doesn't help DDB maintain their service. I like to compare it to buying the same video game from different stores for different consoles
And there are other threads that get into the details of the marketing and economic reasons. They're pinned so they are easy to find.
you have to pay $269 to $573.49 to add all the "Copyright" content to the Character builder. That is WAY t much just to make a character sheet. It would be more reasonable and used to just pay a small amount for each Character.

Indeed you can pay a very small amount for the character sheet. That amount is for all the digital books, listings, tools (like the encounter builder) and the character sheet. If you want character sheet related content only you can buy the character options piecemeal.

Can you find some work around with this?
