I want to have a campaign where players can use the character options in Wildemount, but I don't want them to see the unofficial content like the blood hunter and the gunslinger, but all of it is included in the "Critical Role" content toggle in the character builder. Can we move the blood hunter and gunslinger into the homebrew toggle instead?
Bummer. I don’t want to have to give me players an even longer list of instructions of how to access the content that they are going to be working with.
ultimately, the goal is to make campaigns fully configurable, so you can make that decision and set-up the campaign in D&D Beyond accordingly, rather than currently where we have broad sources that can be enabled or disabled.
Those current toggles are doing their job correctly, which is to exclude/include a whole source.
We are very aware of the need for a more granular approach though!
I get what you're saying, but don't forget Blood Hunter and Gunslinger are Exandria/ Tal'Dorei/ Wildmount classes to begin with. Matt created them for his world, so if you're running a Wildmount campaign, Blood Hunters would be a thing people have seen there (ala Moly), and even though guns are rare even Nott had found one.
Now we even have Drow Gunslingers in Waterdeep as of Dragon Heist, so they are everywhere.
Well sure, but my concern isn't what setting they are in but rather their status as officially published or not. My homebrew world is kind of a "kitchen sink" of material, so I want to make it super easy on my players to build their characters from all of the officially published materials without having to do the homework of what is Unearthed Arcana or Critical Role homebrew and thus not available. With Unearthed Arcana it's easy - you just turn off the toggle. With Blood Hunter and Gunslinger it is definitely not easy if you want to make all of the official material available.
But it looks like a more granular approach is being enacted so I won't worry about it. Cool!

Ah, I thought you were running a straight Wildmount campaign. I see now. My mistake.
Anyway, I hope you all have fun and a great campaign! Without our D&D nights this situation we're all in would be much harder to bear.

I emailed customer support and pretty much was told they won’t remove it since they fit the same category. I’m in the same boat as you.
