You will only have access to the free stuff at the moment (as laid out in the basic rules). Essentially, you'll only have access to one subclass per Class amongst other things.
And before you ask, you can't have access to the stuff here online because you have the hard copy of the books. (in the same way buying a copy of Street Fighter on a PS4 doesn't give you access to the same game on XBox)
Hope that helps! Feel free to ask any further questions

I've been thinking about getting a yearlong sub but I couldn't find anywhere if said subscription provides access to all races and subclasses. I want to create a lot of characters and I need all content available. Can anyone help me?

Subscriptions do not provide access to any content in of themselves.
The hero tier provides the following benefits:
Unlimited character slots
No adverts
Save public homebrew to your own collection
Alpha access to tools
The master tier provides all the above benefits, plus:
The ability to enable content sharing in up to 5 campaigns (until end of year, at which point it will return to the default 3), allowing all purchased content owned by all members of the campaign to be access by all other members of the campaign
If you want access to all character options, the Legendary Bundle contains every publication. However that is a fairly large purchase and may not be within every budget. There is also the Sourcebook Bundle, which contains all the non-adventure books. There are some character options found only in adventures, but the Sourcebook Bundle will give you the vast majority of the options.
Finally, you can alternatively go thought each book on the market place and purchase the individual character options bundles
Just to check - have you tried going to the 4th Tab in the Character Builder (4. Description) and checked under the Background drop down first? Sometimes when you've recently bought something, it can take a while to implement itself.

The bard is missing the spell option dissonant whispers.
Entertainer isn't an option for a background and it doesn't allow you to truly make it because performance isn't an option to add in skills.
Forrest gnome seems to be missing.
Those are just some things I found making one character.
I've noticed you joined very recently - welcome!

You need to buy the other features from the website Marketplace if you want access to the Forest Gnome etc: https://www.dndbeyond.com/marketplace
Here's a guide to buying for you if you're a bit confused by what you can get: https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/general-discussion/13989-a-buyers-guide-for-d-d-beyond

Borrowed from a moderators post from a different thread for ease:
'D&D Beyond can be used for free and contains information from the following "free to use" sources published by Wizards of the Coast: D&D 5th edition SRD, D&D 5th edition Basic Rules, and Elemental Evil Companion.
Content from other sources, such as the Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide, or Monster Manual, will need to be purchased from the Marketplace or accessed via another user sharing content with you via their Master Tier Subscription.'

Yes they are not there. I shut things down and restarted as well.
LOL Figured it out because I am a Bard I get to chose other ones because I am already proficient in them .
New to this thanks
