So I've just created a custom spell which has a modifier that adds temporary hit points. After pressing the button that is supposed to add the hit points on my character sheet, my cpu usage from Chrome shoots up to 50% and the page becomes stuttery until i refresh. The temporary hit points are not added either.
There is no mechanism in speeds to add temporary hit points automatically to a character sheet. Can you please provide a link to this spell so myself or another mod can have a look?
I've looked at the spell and added it to a character and I'm not seeing any CPU spikes on chrome or any of my other browsers. It could be an issue with your browser and dice rolling (ensure you've got hardware acceleration turned on)
As for the modifier, modifiers exist as a selection of options that can be combined in various ways. Some combinations don't produce meaningful results as they're not intended to be combined. There is currently no way for modifiers to modify temp hp, but some modifiers do modify hp and that overlaps in terms of available options even if it doesn't produce a result.
Finally, Armor of Agathys is in the Player's Handbook and is available to my warlock characters. Are you sure you have access to the Player's Handbook? There's also the possibility you're getting Armor of Agathys from another class feature?
My hardware acceleration if off, so that is probably causing it. I suppose I will play with it for a bit to find something usable in this case.
And for the last part, I was not aware some options from the PHB were locked (at least that is what I am reading from your answer), and I am unfortunately not planning on buying it here.
All in all, thank you for the help, and I guess I'll continue toying with the spell I've created until I find something that fits my needs.

Ah, I see the confusion
The Player's Handbook isn't free content (that's the Basic Rules/SRD); in order to access content found in the Player's Handbook, or any other paid book, you will need to purchase access to that book or specific content.

So what is the bonus I applied supposed to do then?

Also, how come armor of agathys isn't available on my warlock character? I figured it would be since it is in the PHB.
