I’m a level 12 dwarf cleric. My wisdom mod is +5 and my current proficiency mod is +4. So my spellcasting mod should be a +9. When I cast, for example, Cure Wounds at level 1, the program wants to use 1d8+8. At level 2, it uses 2d8+9. Level 3, it calls for 3d8+10, and so on. I believe RAW calls for only an increase of the 1d8 die per slot, and in my case, my spellcasting mod should only be a +9 until I further level up the character.
I see this issue with Healing Word as well. I haven’t looked at other spells yet. Is this correct? Anybody else run into this?
"A creature you touch regains a number of hit points equal to 1d8 + your spellcasting ability modifier." Your ability modifier is +5. So 1d8+5. However, I'm betting you're a Life Cleric. They get Disciple of Life: "Whenever you use a spell of 1st level or higher to restore hit points to a creature, the creature regains additional hit points equal to 2 + the spell’s level." So 1d8+5+2+1, or 1d8+8 at level 1. And it'd increase by 1 for every level you upcast it (plus the added 1d8 per spell level, per the spell description). This is expected behavior for any Life Cleric. The sheet used to not be able to do this.

You are correct! I’m a Life Cleric; I appreciate you breaking that down for me. It makes sense now.
Not a problem!
