I had created a Divine smite homebrew spell (but had not submitted it), which then showed up on my Paladins list of known spells. So i added it to the prepared spell list, which was fine. However when I went to my homebrew creations and decided to delete the spell (which it did), the spell still shows up on my paladin spell list. I unprepared the spell, but it still shows up on the known spells lists.
I tried this a 2nd and 3rd time to create a spell, and it seems the difference is that if you delete a spell that is prepared, then it remains on the characters spell list. Deleting the spell before preparing it was removed correctly.
So i now have 2 homebrewed spells in my known spell list which I cannot remove.
PS. please can you add Divine Smite as a Paladin always known special spell that uses spell slots up when cast (but doesn't add to the known paladin spell amount)
I have had some issues like this and had to delevel the character (after modifying the homebrew feature I wanted to change/remove) to the point before access to the homebrew feature was available and then level the character back up.

Check in Homebrew Collections. That is the "folder" of homebrew things that show up in the builder. You have to delete it from there.
The spells are not listed in homebrew collections or homebrew creation after deleting them, but still show up on the known spells for my character.
