I’m relatively new to D&D Beyond and am having an issue with the app.
I have created a few characters using the website and have recently been playing about with the app.
Most of the characters I have built will open with no issue and I am able to use the app during games however, one of the characters will not load and I am unable to do anything else with the app other than shut it down. It seems to freeze on the crossed swords screen and will go no further.
The character is a Goliath Hexblade Warlock, I have purchased the player’s hand book, Xanthar’s guide to everything and the Dungeon master’s guide. It is only this character that this issue happens with so I’m assuming I’ve done something wrong somewhere.
Are you still able to open the character in a web browser? Also, can you share a link to the character here? It's possible that there is something specific causing the issue.
Certain characters are opening and others aren't. In general, characters I've had open as recently as last week will work in the app. But characters older than that don't open in the app, and neither do new characters I made after noticing the issue.
Same here. Happened randomly while I was working on one. Everything was fine and then the app clunked out…maybe they’re doing something on the back end? Notice would’ve been nice.
Gearing up to get back to my table and I wanted to make sure the app was all updated and working but I guess it's busted for everyone, eh? I think Theodynn has the right of it.
Same here, nothing loading in the app. While I can load them on the website it made me think... in the case of an apocalypse I better print out some paper copies so I can still play D&D after I get a homestead up and running.
It is gonna take some time everyone. Right now the servers are getting wrecked with flurry of cancellations due to funny business with open gaming license. Check out youtube videos on it. WOTC has even canceled 2 (so far) announcements regarding OGL.

AlumniAre you still able to open the character in a web browser? Also, can you share a link to the character here? It's possible that there is something specific causing the issue.
Yes I am able to open it in the web browser, I'm very aware I may have messed something up somewhere.

Also having this problem... my character in a campaign won't load but my character not in the campaign will... any solution?

None of my Characters are loading on the app. All load on the website.

Probably didn't know they were going to break it... but imagine being mid campaign and having to stop and figure out a work around.

Yup all my characters are locked … it’s like paying for internet or power and not getting the service. Sigh
