When adding +1 to all attacks through a homebrew feat, I found that Tentacle of the Deeps: Attack is not tagged as a ranged attack, melee attack, melee spell attack, or a spell attack.
The spell says " make a melee spell attack", the description says melee attack. Nothing adds +1 to it.
I've been informed that this is currently a known limitation put in place to prevent unwanted interactions with other systems, such as the doubled spell attack range (when casting a spell) from the Spell Sniper feat, e.g. There isn't currently a way to differentiate between spell attacks from a spell and spell attacks from other features.
In the meantime, anything that should otherwise affect this action can be added via the ability to customize that action.
