I have a Ranger 3/Paladin 3 multiclass, which is the equivalent of a 3rd level caster and should have four 1st level slots and two 2nd level slots. However, the character only has three 1st level slots. I have included a link to the character below:
"You determine your available spell slots by adding together all your levels in the bard, cleric, druid, sorcerer, and wizard classes, and half your levels (rounded down) in the paladin and ranger classes."
3/2 = 1.5, which rounds down to 1. 1+1 = 2. You are only a second-level caster until you level up either of those classes.
