Limited Uses for custom action

I don't know if this belongs here, but I was trying to make a custom action where I can have the little use checkboxes like bardic inspiration does. I read another thread and it said there was an option to set it, but I do not see that option. Can somebody tell me how?

A custom action is an action created directly on the sheet. You can't add limited uses to that.

A homebrew action is an action added to a feature. Whatever you read was talking about that, not a custom action. Create the action and set what should reset its uses (long rest, short rest, etc.), save it, then go back to it and add limited uses.
