Hi- brand new player here (as in I've never played before)- I'm trying to access the character creator to make my first character and its giving me the following message: "Whoops! We rolled a 1 on our Authentication check. We're heading into town to visit the blacksmith for repairs.
Try again after a Short Rest." Theres no error code attached that I can see (Im trying to use the standard character creator, I've tried both with the help text on and off), so I have no idea what could be happening. It'd be great if I could get some help here ^^!!
My first guess would be to clear your cache on your web browser and see the error goes away. Could you please provide a full screen shot of what you are seeing? Maybe there is a clue present if the cache clearing does not correct it.
You could also try and use a different browser. Edge/Chrome/Firefox/Safari what ever you like as a back up. See if the issue persists.

Ive tried that, unfortunately it didnt work.
I'm not actually sure how to add a photo bhbsjh I haven't used this site outside of today
Unfortunately I'm unable to access another browser atm, but if it helps, I'm currently using Chrome.

Are you using a VPN? If so, try turning it off (not just whitelisting the site). If not, try using Chrome in safe mode (ie all extensions off).

Having the same problem. It is only the character vault that is having the issues though. Everything else is working fine.
