As the title says, I have no idea how to buy optional class features. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Is there a work around using the homebrew bit of it?
You cannot currently buy optional class features. Only certain rules elements (such as monsters, weapons, races or subclasses) can be purchased individually.
This is the case for all rules content outside of races, subraces, spells, monsters, magic items, backgrounds, and feats. If you want, for example, the chase rules from the Dungeon Master's Guide, or the optional falling rules from Xanathar's Guide to Everything, you will need to purchase the book.

So how do I buy them then? That kinda sucks, I'm poor AF and can't really afford a whole book.
The only way to get the optional features currently is to buy the entirety of Tasha's Cauldron of Everything.
