I recently had to reduce a character level for an appropriate encounter. The online DnD Beyond character sheet adjusts appropriately, however, the PDF export doesn't adjust the character level and exports it at Lvl 20 still.
PDFs are cached on the system to save time and load when generating them. This sometimes means a change to your character isn't immediately updated on the PDF export. If you wait a little while, then try again, it should be updated
