The spell casting modifier at the top of the spell list Inst correct. It’s correct on the spell but not at the top. The top one seems to be missing the proficiency modifier.

The spellcasting ability modifier, being an ability modifier, does not take the proficiency into account.

I'm having the same problem.  Created a lvl 1 Warlock. 18 Charisma gives me a +4 modifier, 1st level gives a +2 proficiency modifier.

According to the PHB the formula for saves should be 10+ability modifier + Proficiency modifier which should = 10 + 4 + 2 + 16

the sheet adds it only to 14 so I'm assuming it's not adding the proficiency modifier.  Is there something I'm missing?

As I said in the post above, the proficiency bonus does not play a role in the definition of spellcasting ability modifier.

I see my error. The base is 8 not 10 per the PHB. That's what I was missing

8+4+2=14
