Hello all, I tried searching in the forums and did not find anything directly related, apologies if repeat (there seem to me a LOT of shared content problems posted here).
I also found a few mentions of this on Reddit, where it seemed to work for some but not others.

I am a player and I have shared my content with the other players in my group. (I am in 2 campaigns if that matters).
Today another player made an attempt to create a new character and he said he was not seeing the shared content during his character creation. We did a video chat so I could see his screen as we went.

First, I asked if he could go to the 'sources' tab and could he open and view Tashas. He could! So I knew the content sharing was working.
Next we started reviewing the steps for making his character. I think step two, there was a button that said "Optional class features" that he originally had off. So we turned that on. Then he chose his race - Goliath (later we tried another race just to see if that changed anything and it did not). Next we chose "Fighter" and on the page where it asks you to choose the "fighting style" - he could NOT see the 'unarmed attack' option that should have been available via Tashas. (I was creating a character on my screen at the same exact time, and I COULD see that option (which makes sense because I bought the book). After reading a reddit post, someone said there is another tab at the top (that we both missed originally) called "Optional Feature Manager" - and apparently there also is another checkbox to turn on the optional fighting options (even though we turned that on on step 2). So he clicked that to 'on' and even then he still could NOT see the option listed for 'Unarmed attack.'
At this point we had read other comments on reddit that made it sound like others were having similar problems and some people said it worked and others said it didn't.
So we tried one last thing - and this is why I'm posting here, since it actually worked.
So he went back into our normal Campaign that we're playing in (this new character was for a new campaign that we will be running next week, and our GM has not created the campaign page for it yet). So in the current campaign, he saw the button that said "create unassigned character. To my surprise, it worked for him (I thought on the GM could do that). But he started again to choose the race (I think this time he chose a human), got the part of the unarmed attack, and it was THERE as an option!

At this point we stopped, as we're going to ask our GM to create a new campaign at which point he will attempt to repeat the steps for creating an unassigned character, which then hopefully our GM can assign it to that player when he's done.

So basically... Sorry so long winded... I'm wondering:
1) Did we miss another button somewhere?
2) Does shared content only work when you're in the same campaign?
3) Is there a known issue with 'unarmed attack' not working?

Any other suggestions would be helpful at this point. I appreciate your time in reading all of this. Thanks.

Content sharing works through campaigns. You have to create a character inside a campaign where content sharing is turned on in order to be able to use it in the character builder, instead of just reading it. That's why it worked once you made the character in the existing campaign.
