In the above post I liked post #11 and when I did not see an "x" in the box I checked it again, and it registered my like again. So just to test it out I liked it again. So I meant to like it once and liked it 3 times.
This could be a problem depending on how the site wants the like feature to work.
It's a bug that shows up sometimes, but actually doesn't interfere with the actual tally outside of your user POV. You are in fact not adding to the count but toggling your like and withdrawing it from the repeated clicks. If you don't click but hover so you get that roster of who liked, you'll see your name on and off the list.
I don't know why this bug pops up, I think it's usually handled by a browser update or DDB catching up with a browser update, but that's just vague memory not technically knowing.

Thanks for your time.

Thank you both for the information and I did notice my browser had an update today that I did.
I am also glad it is not a case where someone can just hyper inflate someone's position.
Thanks Again
I did go back and check and noticed every time I check the button it added me or removed me from the list but the counter increased.
I have also noticed that the "read new post button" often takes me to a point that I started last time and not where I ended my reading of the thread.
I do think this is a browser issue based on your above info and they may be linked as well as an very old PC issue on my part.
