You get digital access to any sourcebooks you purchase through the platform or free material distributed by Wizards of the Coast through the platform. D&D is a tabletop RPG, so while the site lets you build characters (using free materials plus whatever you purchase/license through the platform) and read the adventure (if you purchase it), actually playing any adventure module still requires having a group of people to play with, including a DM. The site does not also currently provide a VTT or share licensing with sites like Foundry or Roll20, so if you do want a virtual tabletop, purchasing/licensing content here will not be reflected on other sites. There is at least one unsupported 3rd party add-on that does this, but I don't use it so can't comment on its utility.
So basically, no. You're licensing use of an online database and character builder. Virtual play is not available out of the box.
I just wanted to know if the service provide only references and information sheets or I actually play the adventure in the website
thank you
Yes? DDB has the books and character sheets (including dice rolls). You can play the game with just the rules and character sheets. So yes you can actually play the game here.
If you are asking if you can lay out a map and move a token around it, unfortunately no. Someday tho. Maybe 2024.
